Building the Future of Intelligent Finance

Michael Altendorf is an entrepreneur and practitioner who has spent two decades translating artificial intelligence into measurable business value for the financial services industry — as a builder, investor, and author.

As CEO and Co-Founder of ACCELERAID / Adtelligence GmbH (founded 2009), Michael leads a company that deploys machine learning and real-time personalisation at scale across banks and insurance companies. The company was recognised as a Focus Innovator in 2025 and has received awards from Deloitte, Société Générale, and the German Federal Government.

In 2014, the World Economic Forum selected Michael as a Technology Pioneer alongside companies such as Airbnb, Twitter, and Google — one of 20–30 companies globally selected each year for this distinction. He has since been a regular contributor to WEF platforms, authoring white papers and participating in the Annual Meeting in Davos.

Beyond his operational role, Michael is a member of the AI in Banking Expert Group of KI Bundesverband (Germany's national AI association) and is an active member of JEDI and the DRUID Collective. He lectures regularly at Mannheim Business School, University of Mannheim, UC Berkeley, IESE Barcelona, and Pompeu Fabra University, and holds a degree from Heidelberg University.
